Spanish converter Grafidel Etiquetas has invested in a Lemorau DIGI EBR+ 330 all-in-one digital printing machine to increase its production capacity.

The family-owned converter based in Alicante has more than 20 years of experience in the labeling market. Starting with textile labels stamping, the company evolved and adjusted to new market demand with the production of white self-adhesive labels and, later on to broader flexographic production and finishing.

The company has decided to invest in a Lemorau DIGI EBR+ at the beginning of 2021 to increase its production capacity and capabilities further.

‘The Lemorau DIGI EBR+ is a fast, sturdy, versatile and reliable machine. It makes our work much easier and adapts to our needs, in addition to reducing the production time,’ commented Rubén Silvestre Martinez, CEO of Grafidel Etiquetas.

The Lemorau DIGI EBR+ is a digital printing machine that can coat and die-cut in one process. Based on Sirus Memjet technology, it can print with resolution 1600×1600 DPI at a maximum speed of 18 m/min or 9 m/min and a maximum printing width of 222,8mm. The finishing section can also work independently with a maximum rotary speed of 200 m/min on for blank labels, 120 m/min die-cut to register and 40m/min semi-rotary in the register. The machine can run in semi-rotary and full rotary mode and finish digitally printed labels from other presses.

For Grafidel Etiquetas, Lemorau has manufactured the press in 330mm web width and included optional features such as air trim removal and lamination station. It can also feature an anti-static bar, clear-on-clear sensor, corona treatment and UV flexo varnish units.

The DIGI EBR+ is equipped with a Niagara inks system with four two-liter tanks, electronic web guide, automatic web tension control system, electronic counter, two interchangeable pneumatic rewinders of 25, 40, and 76 mm diameter, automatic stop at master roll end with the programmable end of roll function and semi-automatic rewinder just to name a few.
